Ingredients:

  • 1 full chicken breast
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander
  • ½ teaspoon of ginger
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 4 pita pockets
  • Garlic yogurt (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Start by marinating the chicken. In a bowl, combine the garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, ginger, cinnamon, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breast and mix together until all the spices are evenly distributed. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave the chicken to marinate for at least 3 hours.

  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken onto a baking tray and pour any remaining marinade over the top. Bake for 25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and golden.

  3. While the chicken is baking, warm the pita pockets in the oven for 5 minutes.

  4. Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the oven and slice into thin strips. Place the strips into the warmed pita pockets and top with garlic yogurt (optional). Enjoy
